Engineer working across software, MEMS, and embedded systems
I build things on both sides of the hardware-software boundary: four years of professional software and ML engineering, and a joint European master's in smart systems with cleanroom microfabrication, MEMS design, and FPGA work. My recent thesis at IDEAS in Oslo combined both, calibrating a thermal camera and building the real-time platform that streams and controls it.

M.Sc. thesis at IDEAS (Integrated Detector Electronics AS): radiometric characterization of an uncooled LWIR microbolometer camera and development of shutterless drift-compensation methods, together with the FastAPI and React platform used to stream, record, and calibrate it in real time.

A hierarchical VHDL system that measures an input signal's frequency and classifies acoustic events into bands, verified in ModelSim and synthesized on an Altera Cyclone III with full timing closure.

Replicated a published AlN MEMS microphone in COMSOL, validated the model against the paper, then re-engineered materials and geometry for a roughly threefold sensitivity gain tuned to wildlife acoustics.

A web platform that lets non-technical users assemble production-ready interactive ad creatives, with LLM-assisted concept generation and computer-vision analysis, built at Adludio.
Aalto University (Technology Entrepreneurship) · 2024
A solar-powered Raspberry Pi sensor node prototype for reducing elk-vehicle collisions: microphone arrays for direction-of-arrival estimation, an ML sound classifier, and environmental sensing, developed as a technology entrepreneurship project at Aalto.
